Today's Funny

Looks like the folks over at Despair.com get it. Notice that looming figure in the background? This is a photo of Paris, and it's about not working hard.

Did you know that in France, any hours over 35 worked in a week are considered overtime? Hey, it's only 5 higher here, so some people think a 40-hour workweek is standard. No, it's a starting point if you plan to be financially sound. Take a look at the CEOs of major corporations. Do you think they got there by working 40 hours a week? The answer is no.

This laziness that is spreading among Americans is the same reason GM is trying to pay its employees a $140,000 ransom for them to quit. That's right. GM is offering some of its employees up to $140,000 to quit and sever all ties with GM, giving up their benefits. Why would this company do such a drastic thing just to get rid of employees? Because it will save them money. Believe it. The labor unions in this country have been holding our large corporations hostage for years, and it's gotten so bad that GM has to offer six figures to these labor rats just to get rid of them. Pathetic.
